Personal biography


I am a Ph.D. candidate in marketing at HEC Paris, currently on the job market for 2023-2024. My research mainly focuses on two areas. The first area examines how social factors, such as residential mobility and economic inequality, affect consumer behavior and the effectiveness of business strategies. The second area focuses on sustainability (e.g., ESG initiative effectiveness and secondhand goods consumption) and consumer well-being (e.g., status consumption, signaling behaviors, and risk-taking behavior). I am passionate about employing various methods to answer consumer behavioral questions. In my current research, I leveraged insights drawn from lab experiments, constructing, and analyzing secondary data, causal inference, and conducting interviews. In the future, I plan to continue leveraging innovative research methods such as machine learning and randomized control trials to investigate societal issues. Through my research, I hope to provide insights into understanding the interaction between social factors and consumer behaviors to facilitate a sustainable and inclusive world.
