Roberto Micciulla & Maria Calanni Macchio
Climate change represents one of the most pressing challenges of our time, impacting not only the environment but also individuals' psychological well-being. This study explores perceptions, awareness, anxiety, and worry related to climate change in an Italian sample of 121 italian subjects. Using the Climate Change Anxiety Scale (CCAS), The Climate Change Perceptual Awareness Scale (CCPAS), and the Climate Change Worry Scale (CCWS), we conducted comparative analyses between the groups and investigated the influence of demographic factors such as age and sex. Results indicate that are difference in questionnaire scores between groups, variations emerged at the individual item level, suggesting that group differences are specific to particular aspects of perception, awareness and anxiety's impact.
