Damini Singh

I am a Stephan Klasen Fellow (Postdoctoral) at the University of Göttingen, Germany. In the past, I have served as an Assistant Professor at the Hindu College at the University of Delhi, India, and as a Junior Consultant in the Health Policy Research Unit (HPRU) at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi, India. My research is at the intersection of environmental and health economics. In my job market paper, I examine the impact of air pollution on children's cognitive skills in India. I also explore how outdoor and indoor air pollution in India contribute to respiratory diseases among women. In further work, I use GIS techniques to conduct network analysis of health facilities—exploring the issues of accessibility and availability of these facilities. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
