Nawab initially started writing romantic stories with a female pen name.[4] At the age of 23, his first story, "Ek Deewar, Ek Shagaf", with his own name was published in a film magazine, "Romaan", in around 1970. After going through a struggling period as a writer, he finally got attention of the Suspense Digest's editor, Maraj Rasool. Then he became a regular writer for Suspense and Jasoosi Digest for the next 40 years.Ā

Nawab was a friend of the poet and paranormal researcher Rais Amrohvi, and getting inspired by Rais's books on telepathy and hypnotism, he conceived the idea of Devta with a fictional character, Farhad Ali Taimoor. He started writing Devta in February 1977 and soon it became the most popular digest story. The readers used to wait for its next episode. Devta raised the monthly sale of Suspense Digest greater than any of its rival digest and Nawab became the most busy writer of the era. The novel Devta continued for 33 continuous years, ending in 396 episodes. Later it was published in book form in 53 volumes. With 11,206,310 word count, Devta stands in the list of longest novels in history.

Nawab wrote over 600 romantic and social stories, mostly for the Suspense Digest. These short stories have been compiled into nearly 200 books. [2][5][6]

The story is about a writer who has written one best-selling novel but struggling to write his next. He meets a girl in a cafe whom he hires as his assistant and then uses her story as his own. But he is not aware of the motive behind this girl and falls into the trap. Bestseller has received mixed reviews from the audience.

Ya, in Faridabad (where it was made, and other Rajdoots also, and from where

I am), everyone used to call it Bobby motorcycle. If you said Rajdoot, itĀ

meant the regular model. Another reason why young guys wanted it more than

the other Rajdoot model was because the regular Rajdoot model was used by

the "Doodhiyaas" to distribute the "low fat milk" ;-) so it was not as cool

(so to speak) as to drive a Bobby. Remember there were no 100cc craze at that

time. Of course I used to drive one of the best bikes, yezdi, remember some

people had there yezdi label reversed so that it read ipzah ;-)Anyway, I tend to digress, the song zindagi ik safar... was filmed on jawa

(yezdi) motorcycle. You can find songs on scooters probably more in late 70's

upto mid 80's movies, that's when scooters became more popular, I think.

Farooq Shaikh in (I' can't remember the name right now) had a jawa (remember

the song "kaali ghodi dwar khadi". While Amitabh had an Enfield in Muqaddar

ka sikander in "rote hue aate hai sab".

Can't remember anyone driving a scooter in any songs, probably there was a

Farooq Shaikh movie, I vaguely remember.
