What information do we collect?
None. Daily Scripture Wallpaper does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The app does not require an account. It does not ask for your name, email, location, or contacts. It does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not use cookies or device fingerprinting.
What does the app do on my device?
For the app to function, it does the following entirely on your iPhone or iPad:
Downloads wallpapers from a public CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). These requests carry only the standard information any web request includes. We do not log or record these requests.
Stores your favorite wallpapers locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your phone.
Tracks your reading streak locally using Apple's standard preferences storage. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Indexes scripture verses into Apple Spotlight Search locally on your device.
Reads verses aloud using Apple's built-in AVSpeechSynthesizer framework. Text-to-speech runs entirely on-device.
Shows Live Activities and widget content drawn from data already on your device.
Permissions we request
Notifications: to send you the daily verse reminder at the time you choose in Settings. Optional. Disable any time in iOS Settings.
Photos (write only): only if you tap Download on a wallpaper to save it to your Photos library. Optional.
We do not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, health, or any other sensitive permission.
Children
The app is appropriate for all ages (rated 4+). It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
There are no third-party SDKs in Daily Scripture Wallpaper. No analytics. No advertising networks. No crash reporters. No social-media SDKs.
Changes to this policy
If we ever begin collecting any data, we would post an updated policy here with a new effective date and notify users in the app before any change takes effect.
