DAILY GIFT — PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application "Daily Gift" ("the
App") handles information. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you
do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. SUMMARY

Daily Gift is designed to work primarily offline. Most information never leaves
your device.
The only feature that sends data to a third party is Cosmic Compass: when you
choose to generate a forecast, limited text you select (such as mood and
focus labels) is sent to OpenAI’s servers over the network. The App asks for
your explicit consent before you may use the App. You can withdraw consent in
Settings. If you do not consent, you cannot use the App.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHERE IT IS STORED

2.1 On your device (local storage)
The App stores the following types of information locally on your device,
typically using Apple’s UserDefaults in the App sandbox:
• Virtual progress: coin balance, daily tile opens, which tiles were opened
today, ticket counts (e.g., mini-game and “Chrono” passes).
• History: a limited history of recent rewards and tile results.
• Preferences: sound, haptics, reduced-motion preference, onboarding and
welcome-bonus flags, Cosmic Compass daily-free usage marker, quiz reward
day marker, and your AI data-sharing consent choice.
• No account is created; we do not ask for your name, email address, phone
number, or Apple ID in the App.
We do not operate our own cloud database or user accounts for Daily Gift.
2.2 Transmitted to a third party (OpenAI) — Cosmic Compass only
When you use Cosmic Compass and tap to generate a reading, the App sends a
request to OpenAI’s API. The payload includes:
• The mood and focus selections you tap in the App (short categorical
labels from the App’s UI, for example “Calm”, “Work”).
• The compass bearing or direction derived from how you rotate the dial,
expressed in the prompt as plain text for the model.
This request is sent so that OpenAI’s service can generate a short, lyrical
forecast text shown in the App.
Do not type or paste personal data into free-text fields that do not exist in
the current App UI; if future versions add free text, avoid entering sensitive
information there. Third-party AI services may process prompts according to
their own policies.
If the network or OpenAI is unavailable, the App may show curated on-device
fallback text instead, in which case no prompt is sent for that attempt.

3. HOW WE COLLECT DATA

• Local data is written by the App when you play (open tiles, complete quiz
rounds, use settings, generate compass readings, etc.).
• Network data to OpenAI is collected only when you explicitly trigger a
Cosmic Compass generation after you have accepted the App’s AI
data-sharing consent screen.

4. HOW WE USE DATA

• On-device data: to run game logic, enforce daily limits, show your history,
and remember settings and consent.
• Data sent to OpenAI: solely to produce the Cosmic Compass text response
returned to your device for display. Outputs are for entertainment and
should not be treated as professional advice (medical, financial, legal,
etc.).

5. THIRD PARTIES AND SHARING

5.1 OpenAI
Cosmic Compass sends prompts to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.P. and affiliates). OpenAI
processes API requests under its own terms and privacy notice. We do not
control OpenAI’s infrastructure. Review OpenAI’s documentation and privacy
policy at https://openai.com/policies for how they handle API data.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising or
analytics SDKs in the App to track you across other companies’ apps or sites.
5.2 Apple
Apple may provide crash diagnostics or similar data if you opt in through your
device settings to share analytics or crash reports with developers. That is
governed by Apple’s policies, not by our servers.

6. RETENTION

Local App data remains on your device until you delete the App or erase data
inside the App (e.g., Settings → Erase all local data). We do not receive a
copy of your on-device save when you use Daily Gift in its standard configuration.
Data processed by OpenAI is subject to OpenAI’s retention and security practices
as described in their policies.

7. CHILDREN

Daily Gift is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or
guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through misuse of
the App, contact us via the App Store listing.

8. YOUR CHOICES

• Consent: On first launch you must accept the AI data-sharing notice to use
the App. You may withdraw consent in Settings; the App will return to the
consent flow.
• Erasure: Delete the App from your device, or use in-App Settings to erase
local data, to remove information stored on the device.
• Compass: If you prefer not to send data to OpenAI, do not use Cosmic
Compass after accepting the overall App consent, you may withdraw consent
entirely as described above.

9. INTERNATIONAL USERS

OpenAI services may process data in the United States or other regions where
OpenAI operates. By using Cosmic Compass, you understand that your prompt may
be processed in those locations according to OpenAI’s terms.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We may update this Privacy Policy when we change the App or our practices. The
“Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after
updates means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected
in the App or App Store description where appropriate.

11. SECURITY

We rely on Apple’s platform security for on-device storage. Network requests
use industry-standard transport (HTTPS) to OpenAI’s API. No security method is
perfect; use the App at your own discretion.
