Dr Michelle Cox-Hurrell loves painting light effects and reflections after rain. Her paintings invite the viewer to step into the scene, and her painterly technique creates a feeling of life and movement. Michelle has exhibited at ART3F Monaco and Art Munich, recently. She is currently represented by Monat Gallery and enjoyed exhibiting her work at their gallery in Madrid. She loves both art and science, so her instagram tag is @arteatsienceÂ
Her art practice extends to mixed-media sculpture using hand made beads and natural stone beads from across the globe, combined with aluminium wire.
Conceptually, some of my sculptures are inspired by positive thinking and rewarding yourself, by creating trophy sculptures. Her sculptures were also inspired by rare plants and 19th century decorative objects, like vases.
