Daily ToolKit (referred to as "the App") is a privacy-focused utility hub. We believe your data should stay yours. This policy outlines our commitment to transparency and data security.
Offline Storage: All content created within the App—including Notes, To-Dos, Calculator history, and BMI data—is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
No Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). No account creation is required to use any feature.
Zero Cloud Transmission: Your data never leaves your device. We do not use backend servers or cloud synchronization.
AES-256 Encryption: Data stored in the Secure Vault is encrypted using the industry-standard AES-256 algorithm.
Passphrase Privacy: We do not have access to your vault passphrase. It is hashed and stored locally. Note: If you forget your passphrase, we cannot recover your data as we do not have a "backdoor" or recovery server.
The App requests the following permissions to provide specific utility features:
Camera (Torch/Flashlight): We request camera access solely to control the physical LED (Flashlight). We never capture, record, or store photos or videos.
Haptics: Used for tactile feedback during interactions (e.g., coin flip, button presses).
Internet Access: Used exclusively by the Currency Converter to fetch live exchange rates from the Frankfurter API. No user-specific data is sent during these requests.
Frankfurter API: Used for real-time currency conversion. This service receives your "from" and "to" currency requests but does not receive any personal identifiers.
Expo Framework: The App is built using Expo. The production version does not include third-party tracking or behavioral analytics.
Because all data is stored on your device, you have total control. Deleting the App will permanently delete all stored data, including your Secure Vault entries and Notes.
