Here is a housing map showing where the convention planners reserved rooms to offer AA members at a discounted rate click on google maps Most of the hotel rooms the convention planners reserved to offer at a discount were booked up fast. Booked means; the rooms that AA reserved for the convention. It doesn’t mean all hotel rooms in the area are booked.
There are still a lot of housing options available. Suggestion is to book a hotel or Airbnb near the skytrain.
You don’t need to be downtown. The sky train will take you to the convention Center easily. You can book in Burnaby, Coquitlam, or Richmond to name a few.
The high demand has impacted the availability in our “official room block.”

Taking place once every five years, the A.A. International Convention marks the anniversary of Bill W.’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the birth of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. A.A. members and their families and friends from around the globe attend the event. At the International Convention people attend meetings, workshops, dances and events. A highlight is the traditional flag ceremony to celebrate sobriety worldwide.
We created the Deaf Alcoholic Fellowship International Convention (DAFIC) webpage to encourage fellowship, sharing and help answer Deaf Access questions in regards to attending the 2025 International AA Convention being held in Vancouver, BC Canada from July 3-6, 2025
There will be a Deaf A.A. and friends hospitality meeting space at the convention.
Many ASL Interpreted events the entire weekend.
Deaf fellowship and Deaf lead events between the interpreted events.
