# Privacy Policy for d2jsp Enhancer

This Privacy Policy explains how the "d2jsp Enhancer" Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information.

**A note on features still in testing:** Smart Shop (including the OCR item scanner) and the Messenger-style PM panel are included in this build but are currently in testing and not enabled by default — most installations will not have them active. The data-collection behavior described below for these specific features only applies once they're active for your installation; while inactive, none of that data is read, mirrored, or stored. The Item Collage tool (Tools → Shop tab) is unaffected by this and works normally for everyone regardless of testing status. Everything else in this policy applies to all users regardless of testing status.

## 1. Information We Collect

The Extension stores only data you create through your own use of it, or that it reads from your own d2jsp.org account activity in order to power its features:

- Usernames you choose to block or favourite, along with any tags or notes you add to them

- Posts you choose to save

- Your extension settings and preferences

- Fast-reply prefill button labels you define

- A PM subject and body template you save

- Your gold trade transaction history (date, amount, balance, counterpart, comment) — read from your own `gold.php` history so it can be shown back to you as a dashboard

- Your private message history (sender, recipient, subject, message body) — mirrored locally so it can be shown in the Messenger-style panel

- Which topics you've read on subforums you've chosen to track, so the Extension can flag new activity

- Trade-listing inventories you build in Smart Shop, and the item database backing it

- Notes you write in the Notes scratchpad

- Screenshots you paste or drop into the OCR item scanner — these are processed entirely on your device using a bundled OCR library; the image itself is never stored or uploaded anywhere, only the text extracted from it is kept

- Screenshots you paste or drop into the Item Collage tool (Tools → Shop tab) — these are composited into one image entirely on your device and are **never sent anywhere unless you explicitly click Upload**. If you do click Upload, the composited image is sent to Imgur (a third-party image host, not affiliated with d2jsp.org) — see Section 3. If you choose to enter your own Imgur "Client-ID" in this tool's optional advanced field, that value is stored locally the same as everything else in this list.

All of the above is stored locally on your device using the browser's `chrome.storage.local` (and, for some Smart Shop data, `localStorage`) APIs.

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, general browsing history, or any data unrelated to your use of d2jsp.org through this Extension.

## 2. How We Use the Information

Locally stored data is used solely to power the Extension's features while you browse d2jsp.org — hiding blocked users, highlighting favourites, loading your saved templates, displaying your gold trade history and message history back to you, and flagging forum activity. No data is used for any other purpose, and none of it is used for advertising, analytics, or profiling.

## 3. Network Requests

The Extension makes requests to three domains, and no others:

- **d2jsp.org** — the vast majority of requests. Most happen when you directly trigger an action (hovering over a topic title, clicking Send, clicking a sync button). Some also happen automatically as part of normal use of a feature you've enabled — for example, checking for a new-message banner on page load, or a background tab briefly refreshing your gold trade history while you use the Gold Tracker's history backfill. These are always limited to d2jsp.org and only run for features you're actively using.

- **d2runewizard.com** — the D2 Tracker feature (Terror Zone / Diablo Clone) polls this public, unauthenticated API roughly once a minute in the background, for as long as the Extension is installed, so the header strip and alert bells can stay current. No account data or personal information is sent — only a request for the current tracker state.

- **api.imgur.com** — **opt-in only.** This is contacted solely when you explicitly click "Upload to Imgur" in the Item Collage tool. Nothing is sent to Imgur at any other time, and no other feature ever contacts it. No account, login, or signup with Imgur is required to use this — by default the request is made anonymously, and nothing is tied to your d2jsp account. An optional advanced field lets you supply your own Imgur Client-ID if you prefer.

No data collected from any of the above ever leaves your device except the opt-in Imgur upload described.

## 4. Data Sharing and Transmission

We do not transmit, share, or sell any data to third parties or external servers, **except** the Item Collage tool's opt-in Imgur upload described in Sections 1 and 3 — which only ever happens when you explicitly click Upload, and only sends the composited collage image you built, never any other data stored by the Extension. All other data remains on your local device at all times.

## 5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is saved locally in your browser and is only accessible by this Extension. You can delete it at any time by:

- Using the individual "Clear" buttons available for each feature in the popup (blocked users, favourites, saved posts, forum activity tracking, and more),

- Using the Export / Import tools to manage your data manually,

- Or uninstalling the Extension, which removes all locally stored data.

## 6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally as the Extension's features change. The "Last updated" date will be changed accordingly. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
