D1 Study Tracker is built local-first: your study data belongs to you and stays on your device. This policy explains exactly what the extension stores, what it never does, and the optional integrations you control.
Everything you create in D1 Study Tracker is saved in your browser's local extension storage on your own device: the screenshots you capture, your error classifications, notes, and settings. None of it is uploaded to us. We operate no server, and we have no access to your data.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information or your captured content. The extension contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising, and it makes no network requests on its own. The sign-in screen shown in the current version is a non-functional preview: nothing you type into it is saved or sent anywhere.
One feature can send data off the extension — it is off by default, configured by you, and sends data only to a service under your control:
• Google Sheets sync: if you connect your own Google Apps Script webhook, your error-log rows (text data, not screenshots) are sent to your own Google Sheet. Google's handling of that sheet is governed by Google's privacy policy.
The AI features and the Anki export shown in the app are currently disabled (private beta) and make no network requests.
The extension asks for broad site access so its capture panel can work on whichever practice-question website you study with. It stays dormant on every site until you enable that site from the toolbar popup, and it takes a screenshot only when you explicitly click capture or press the hotkey. Page content is read only to pre-fill your entry (subject, topic, question ID) on your device — it is never transmitted.
You can export your data at any time (Excel, Word, CSV, ZIP, backup), and delete any entry or everything at once from the dashboard ("Clear all"). Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on any server.
D1 Study Tracker is intended for medical and pre-medical students and is not directed at children under 13.
If a future version changes what data is handled (for example, when optional accounts launch), this policy will be updated first and the "Last updated" date revised. Material changes will be called out in the extension's update notes.
