2024 South West Youth Series
Regional Youth Circuit Series
The Series will comprise of events promoted in the South West region
The 2024 Series will run over 5 events with each rider’s 4 best results to count towards the overall standings.
Series standings will be produced for age categories as per BC rules:
Youth A - U16 Boys and U16 Girls
Youth B - U14 Boys and U14 Girls
Youth C - U12 Boys and U12 Girls
Youth D – U10 Boys and U10 Girls
Youth E – U8 Boys and Girls
Race distances should ideally be
Youth A's 45mins – 1 hour
Youth B's 30mins – 45 mins
Youth C’s 20mins – 30 mins
Which will allow for progression from regional to National competition. Events can offer a multi stage format, but should be of the same overall duration and with only the overall ranking to be used to determine series points.
The series will offer separate races for boys and girls, if a region does not have enough riders then consideration should be given to pair with a neighbouring region to give a quality racing experience.
A riders best four (of 5) performances will used to calculate their overall final standings. If a rider competes in less than four races all their points will be calculated.
If only four rounds take place, all performances will be taken into account.
In the event of a tie, the overall will be decided on the position in the final round.
1st 35, 2nd 30, 3rd 25, 4th 23, 5th 21, 6th 19, 7th 17, 8th 15, 9th 13, 10th 11. 11th 10, 12th 9, 13th 8, 14th 7, 15th 6, 16th 5, 17th 4, 18th 3, 19th 2, 20th 1
