Jennifer DeWitt Walsh began her assignment as Deputy Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany, in July 2023.

Most recently she served as Principal Officer at U.S. Consulate General Amsterdam, concurrently serving as Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy The Hague for eighteen months.

Additional assignments include Director of the Special Issuance Agency, Deputy Principal Officer in Alexandria, Egypt, Public Affairs Officer in Lagos, Nigeria, and Director of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at Embassy Cairo.

She served as Chief of American Citizen Services at Embassy Caracas and Embassy Kingston and was the General Services Officer in Shanghai.

She began her career at the U.S. Interests Section in Havana, Cuba, and her Washington assignments include serving as an instructor at the Foreign Service Institute and in the Office of eDiplomacy.

She holds a BA from the University of Wyoming, a BS from Montana State University, and an MA from Arizona State University. She speaks German and Spanish.
