If you want immersive, deep-bass audio with a massive 60-hour battery life for long shifts or travel, choose CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds; if you need open-ear situational awareness and waterproof durability for swimming or running, choose HAKII Sole Bone Conduction. This isn't a vague suggestion; it is a hard split based on how each device handles sound isolation versus environmental safety. For nurses specifically, who often work in high-noise hospital corridors or require constant awareness of patient calls, this choice determines whether your ears are sealed off for focus or left open to hear the room.
• CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds: Delivers rich Hi-Fi bass and ENC noise cancellation for crystal-clear calls, but lacks true water resistance and isolates you from ambient sounds. Best for stationary use, commuting, or quiet office environments where audio fidelity matters most.
• HAKII Sole Bone Conduction: Offers IP68 waterproofing and an open-ear design for total safety during workouts, yet provides shorter playtime and no active noise cancellation. Best for runners, swimmers, and outdoor workers who need to hear traffic or colleagues while listening.
The CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds are built for the person who prioritizes audio quality and battery endurance above all else. This isn't just about loud volume; it is about clarity. The inclusion of Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) microphones is a game-changer for anyone making frequent phone calls. In a busy hospital ward or a noisy home office, these microphones intelligently filter out background chatter so your voice comes through clearly. If you are a nurse looking for the best voice assistant gaming headset for nurses who also need to stay connected with family during breaks, the ENC feature ensures your conversations remain private and crisp.
Battery anxiety is non-existent with this model. You get a staggering 60 hours of continuous playtime on a single charge, which takes only two hours to replenish via USB-C. That means you can go almost a week without plugging them in. The neckband design rests lightly on your shoulders, weighing in at just 2.5 ounces, making it comfortable enough for all-day wear. The Bluetooth 5.0 connection offers a stable range of 33 feet, giving you freedom to move around your workspace without dropping the signal. The touch controls allow you to manage calls and music without fumbling for buttons, which is essential when your hands are full or covered in gloves.

However, there are trade-offs. These earbuds sit inside the ear canal using an in-ear placement with passive noise cancellation. While this helps block out some ambient noise, it also isolates you completely. If you are a nurse who needs to hear a code blue announcement or a patient calling for help immediately, this isolation could be a risk. They are not designed for heavy sweating or submersion in water, lacking any official waterproof rating like the HAKII. They are perfect for keeping a spare pair in your car, gym bag, or office drawer because they come as a twin set, ensuring you never run out of backup options. But if your job requires you to swim or run outdoors in the rain, these are not the right tool for the job.
The HAKII Sole Bone Conduction headphones take a completely different approach by leaving your ear canals entirely open. This is the definitive choice for anyone whose safety depends on hearing their surroundings. The open-ear design means you can listen to music or podcasts while still hearing traffic, approaching vehicles, or coworkers talking nearby. For a nurse working in a chaotic emergency room or a runner training alone on a dark trail, this situational awareness is critical. You are not isolated from the world; you are immersed in it while still enjoying audio. The lack of in-ear tips eliminates the discomfort of pressure buildup during long shifts, thanks to a featherlight 27-gram build that applies zero pressure to the ear.
Durability is where this product truly shines. With an IP68 certification, these headphones are professionally waterproof and sweatproof. You can wear them while swimming, running in heavy rain, or sweating through an intense workout session without worry. The enclosure material is ABS plastic with skin-friendly silicone earhooks that ensure a secure fit even during high-intensity movement. Unlike standard earbuds that might slip out, the ergonomic circle shape locks into place. Furthermore, the built-in 16GB storage allows you to store thousands of songs directly on the device. This means you can leave your phone behind and still enjoy your favorite playlist, a feature that is incredibly liberating for short runs or quick trips to the gym.
The downside is the audio experience itself. Because the ear is open, there is no bass impact or noise isolation. You will hear everything around you, which can drown out the music in very loud environments. There is no active noise cancellation here; the "noise control" is listed as none. Additionally, the battery life is significantly lower than the CXPSUE model, offering only 10 hours of playback. While this covers a full day of work, it does not match the week-long endurance of the neckband style. The controls are physical push buttons rather than touch-sensitive, which some users might find less convenient but more reliable when wearing gloves. If you need the best USB C charging on ear headphones for nurses who are constantly moving and need to stay alert, this open design is the only logical path, provided you accept the trade-off in sound isolation.
• Best for battery life → CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds: With 60 hours of playtime versus 10 hours, the CXPSUE wins easily for long shifts without access to power.
• Best for water resistance → HAKII Sole Bone Conduction: Only the HAKII carries an IP68 rating, making it safe for swimming and heavy rain exposure.
• Best for call clarity → CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds: The ENC microphone technology filters background noise far better than the open-air design of the HAKII.
• Best for situational awareness → HAKII Sole Bone Conduction: The open-ear design lets you hear patients, traffic, and alarms while listening to audio.
• Best for storage independence → HAKII Sole Bone Conduction: Built-in 16GB storage lets you run without a phone, whereas CXPSUE requires a Bluetooth connection to a device.
• Best for comfort during long wear → Tie: Both are lightweight, but HAKII avoids ear canal pressure while CXPSUE uses a neckband to distribute weight.
• Best value for sharing → CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds: Comes as a twin set, allowing you to keep a backup pair handy for a partner or multiple locations.
• Best for connectivity range → CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds: Offers a 33-foot Bluetooth range compared to the HAKII's 15 meters (approx. 49 feet), though both are sufficient for typical use.
I would buy the CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds for my own daily use, primarily because the 60-hour battery life and ENC microphone technology solve the most common frustrations I face with audio gear: constant recharging and unclear phone calls. The ability to share the twin set and have a backup in the car is a practical feature I value highly. However, for a nurse who works in a high-traffic emergency environment or swims as part of their fitness routine, I would strongly recommend the HAKII Sole Bone Conduction. The open-ear safety and waterproofing are non-negotiable features for those specific roles. If you prioritize audio immersion and long-term convenience, go with CXPSUE; if you prioritize safety and water resistance, the HAKII is the clear winner.
The HAKII Sole Bone Conduction is ideal for this because its open-ear design keeps your ears open to ambient sounds, unlike the CXPSUE which isolates you.
No, the CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds offer 60 hours of playtime, meaning you likely won't need to charge them more than once a week under normal usage.
No, the CXPSUE does not have an IP68 rating and is not designed for submersion; only the HAKII Sole Bone Conduction is certified for swimming.
The CXPSUE Neckband Earbuds provide deeper bass and richer Hi-Fi sound due to their in-ear design and hybrid drivers, whereas the HAKII sacrifices bass for an open-ear experience.
