Piano Lessons
With over 40 years of teaching piano experience, Cindy Warner is offering in-person and ZOOM piano lessons to students ages 5 - adult in the Tuscaloosa area. Having previously been a vendor for several charter schools, she teaches homeschoolers and students from both private and public schools. The adults she teaches are all ages, ranging from college students up to senior adults. She thoroughly enjoys helping students learn how to play the piano, to read music, understand theory, and develop their musical skills.
Teaching Style
The lessons are designed to challenge, yet understand the student's specific personality and needs. Each student learns differently, and the lessons are designed to help them become successful by teaching them in the way that they will learn best. Having weekly piano lessons not only teaches the students how to play the piano, but it also gives the student a sense of accomplishment. Annually, the students are given a couple of songs to challenge them for the piano recital. This is a highlight of the year, with many family and friends in attendance.
Lessons include Music Theory
It is so important to understand how music is formed. Theory includes learning to read the music, learning scales, intervals, chords, and much more. Several previous students have been able to "challenge" their college Music Theory classes and Piano classes. They have been counted as completed due to the students' extensive understanding of Music Theory and piano proficiency.
