January 4: FRC kickoff - beginning of FRC Build Season

FRC Design Review Dates: Engineers of all types needed for technical review of design:

• Saturday, January 11th
• Saturday, January 25th
• Saturday, February 8th

OUR FRC Competition Dates (We cannot register until the fall, please reserve these weekends):

• Feb 28 - March 1: Northern Virginia FRC Competition Battlefield HS)
• March 6-8: Bethesda, MD FRC Competition
• March 20-22: Edgewater, MD FRC Competition
• April 2-5: District Championship at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia

PARENT VOLUNTEER FORMS:

• We NEED parent volunteers who can help chaperone and mentor on build days. All adults who volunteer regularly MUST get fingerprinted and badged by FCPS. You will need the HR-8 and HR-3 forms linked below.
• FCPS requires volunteers and mentors who meet with students on a frequent and regular basis to have a background check because "student safety is of utmost importance." For more info on FCPS volunteer policy, go to their website here.
• Download the HR-8 FORM and HR-3 FORM. Once these are filled out, please sign and send in to Mr. Small (may be submitted via email to oasmall@fcps.edu).
