CVE QUILT CLUB OPEN HOUSE - APRIL 8TH, 2025, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

This year The Quilt Club will hold two Open House events, the first in April of this year and the second in December when the snowbirds return! This spring the event will take place on April 8th,  in the Clubhouse Sewing Room and room GPA across the hall. The sewing room will host a variety of demonstrations in the machine and hand aspects of quilting. Room GPA will showcase a variety of quilted pieces – large and small – and artists will be on hand to answer questions and/or discuss the works with visitors. 

The CVE Quilt Club is a thriving community of fibre artists! Every week, during Monday afternoon Club meetings, we gather in the clubhouse sewing room to: discuss colour, texture and pattern; seek advice from the more experienced among us; share techniques for designing our own fabrics; explore the use of found objects; learn how to join critical pieces without losing our design in those darn quarter inch seams; discuss possibilities for field trips; and, best of all, enjoy a collegial afternoon engaging in a passion we share and the pure joy of laughter. Thanks to CenClub, the sewing room is newly outfitted with computerized sewing/quilting machines and standard sewing machines for the CVE community to use.
