This trailer was originally built for myself, not as a production unit or a quick resale project. The goal was to create a compact camper that feels solid, practical, and comfortable.
Because it was originally built for myself, I focused on long-term durability, quality materials, and proven RV components rather than minimizing costs.
Every major system—including electrical, ventilation, lighting, outlets, and storage—was planned during the design stage and integrated throughout the build rather than added later as an afterthought.
The trailer is built on a lightweight galvanized frame manufactured by Westbrook, providing a strong foundation while helping keep overall trailer weight low. Because the frame is galvanized, it does not require painting and offers excellent long-term corrosion resistance.
The exterior is finished with aluminum skin, and all panel joints were carefully sealed using multiple weatherproofing layers to provide long-term protection against moisture and the elements.
The cabin interior is finished with Baltic birch and protected with a low-odor polycrylic finish, creating a warm, clean, and durable living space.
Materials and components were selected based on quality and reliability rather than the lowest possible price.
The windows, entry door, moldings, and hinges were sourced from Vintage Technologies, a supplier specializing in RV components.
The floor and roof are insulated to improve comfort during cool nights and shoulder-season camping. For warmer weather, the trailer features a roof exhaust fan and adjustable ventilation grilles, allowing either active airflow or completely silent natural ventilation.
This camper was designed for people who want to spend more time outside of regular campgrounds without giving up basic comfort.
A significant part of the project's cost is in the electrical system, RV-grade hardware, premium materials, and off-grid equipment listed below. These are components that are often optional upgrades or unavailable on entry-level trailers.
This camper includes a fully integrated off-grid electrical system with a 300Ah lithium battery, 1500W inverter, shore power connection, smart battery charger, battery monitoring, and multiple 12V, USB, and 120V power outlets throughout the trailer.
The 300Ah LiFePO4 battery provides a large amount of usable power for lights, ventilation, charging devices, and running small electrical loads while camping off-grid.
The built-in inverter allows you to use 120V devices when shore power is not available.
When you are at a serviced campsite, the trailer can be plugged into campground power.
USB, 12V, and 120V outlets are installed in practical locations throughout the cabin and galley, making it easy to charge phones, cameras, lights, laptops, or camping equipment.
Every major stage of construction was documented. Unlike most custom-built trailers, buyers can review the entire build process and see exactly how the trailer was constructed.
I've been passionate about road travel for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent every summer traveling thousands of kilometers with my family, and later explored Europe in my Volkswagen Transporter.
About a year ago, I moved to Canada with the goal of building a career in the RV and camper manufacturing industry. This trailer was built as a personal project to gain hands-on experience and create something I would genuinely enjoy owning and using.
Unfortunately for me, and fortunately for its future owner, I now need to free up funds as I continue building my life in Canada.
To be honest, I'm a little jealous of whoever gets to take it on its first big adventure.
