Custer Elementary is committed and dedicated to Kentucky’s military youth and families in our community.
I am honored to be Custer Elementary's Purple Star Liaison. The military community holds a very special place in my heart. My husband and I have been married for 29 years. In that time, I journeyed through 20 of his 23 years of military career. During this time I experienced first hand the impact military life has on a family, especially the children. Family is both impacted from the demands of the soldier's career at his assigned duty station, variety of deployments and moving to a new duty station.
My goal is that with the help of the Kentucky Purple Star Program we will provide a caring school environment for military connected students and let military families know, whether they are on Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard or a Veteran, that our school is dedicated to helping their child obtain a safe and positive learning experience and provide social emotional support. If you have questions or are in need of assistance, please feel free to contact myself at christine.kennedy@breck.kyschools.us
