Sarah Burns’ curling journey is defined by a relentless work ethic and a deep-rooted support system. Since winning Rookie of the Year at Broomstones (Wayland, MA) in 2008, Sarah spent over a decade balancing a rigorous 15-bonspiel-per-year schedule with intensive off-ice training.
A pivotal turning point came in 2019 when Sarah made the bold decision to relocate to Michigan to fully align her career with her training and team-building goals. This transition was fueled by the unwavering support of her father, a veteran recognized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Honor Roll. His legacy of service and resilience serves as the backbone of Sarah's competitive drive.
The commitment paid off in January 2022, when Sarah secured her best finish to date, tying for 3rd at a World Curling Tour (WCT) event. Now competing out of the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club in Ontario, Sarah continues to be a fixture at professional events across Canada, blending elite shot-making with the disciplined mindset of a true athlete.
