In memorium

This site is now a legacy site due to the passing of our beloved bassist, Susan Johnson. Dee and I have agreed to retire the name CURL and proceed as the Helen Davies Band (helendaviesband.com).

We thank you for all your support over the years and ask that you say a prayer for Susan, who we were blessed to be able to know, work with and love for so many years.

CURL performs a wide range of traditional blues and soul along with original material from their two CDs. With a transplanted Albertan in the band, country influences can occasionally be heard, as well as old-style rock and roll vibes from the 70s. On Vancouver Island, home base for CURL, the band has performed at Victoria's Blues Bash, Nanaimo's Summertime Blues Festival, the Butchart Gardens, Ribfest Victoria, the Victoria Dragonboat Festival and other great outdoor stages. 

CURL is a core trio of Helen Davies (vocals/guitar), Dee Cooper (keyboards) and Susan Johnson (bass).
