What is Autopay?
short for automatic payment, is a computerized service that automatically deducts an owed recurring payment from an individual's account . It is an option in which bill will be paid automatically each billing cycle on their due dates using your default credit card or bank account.
FAQ's
Is there a fee for enrolling to Autopay? No. There is no fee when enrolling to autopay.
How to enroll to Autopay? Policy holders may enroll online or over the phone.
Can I use my checking account(ACH) to Autopay? Yes. you may enroll to autopay using your checking account.
When will autopay take my payment? Autopay will take the payment on the scheduled due date. We cannot guarantee a specific time but it should be within the due date.
My policy will soon expire, do I have to enroll again to autopay? No. Once a policy is enrolled to autopay, it will automatically enroll the new policy term to autopay.
Is autopay safe to use? Yes. It preferred by most of our policy holders as it is more convenient for them.
Can I change or cancel autopay once it's set up? Yes. You may unenroll to autopay anytime.
What happens if there are insufficient funds in my account for autopay? Autopay will only be attempting to take the money out once, if a payment declines, policy holder needs to manually settle the payment by going online, paying through the automated system or paying over the phone.
When a customer questions autopay remember to check to see if a current bill is due before enrolling the customer. If the insured does have a current bill due, they will need to make that payment before enrollment. *If their payment for the current installment is made with ACH you will need to wait for this payment to post in Guidewire before enrolling in autopay.
Autopay accounts that are enrolled with ACH accounts will be scheduled to process 2 days before the bill's due date.
If a payment that processed via autopay and the payment was not honored by the bank the insured will need to make a payment over the phone or online with a credit/debit card as the autopay will not process a second time. Once the replacement payment is made the autopay feature will activate for the next installment cycle.
