We are pleased to announce the first Cultural Humility in Medicine Symposium hosted by the Cultural Competency Program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. We have prepared an exciting day exploring the social issues which fuel discrimination, bias, and neglect within the healthcare system. This event hopes to supplement any graduate and medical program by increasing the cultural understanding, competency, and humility and its role in the practice of medicine.

Special Notes to PCOM StudentsPCOM M1 and/or M2 students who attend will have 1 point added to the final PCS grade by submitting a 3 paragraph (one page) reflection paper responding to the following : Address the personal lessons learned by attending the symposium. Reflections must be emailed to Dr. Harry Morris at harrym@pcom.edu by February 18th, 11:59 AM
