Join us for a special fall Friends of the Library Annual Meeting & Dinner. Hear author and newspaper veteran John Railey discuss his thoroughly researched portrait of an intensely private man with an intensely generous spirit. Andy Griffith’s Manteo: His Real Mayberry is full of personal reflections, delights and surprises.

A video overview of The Lost Colony, Buies Creek native and Pulitzer-winning playwright Green’s groundbreaking outdoor symphonic drama, introduced in 1937 and still in production today

Take a tour of the library space, especially the beautifully renovated second floor, with its large open study area, flexible and comfortable furniture, the Student Art Gallery, high-tech group study booths, and a number of reservable study rooms; and new third-floor Teaching Resource Center for faculty.
