Cue doesn't have accounts. Your lessons, progress, settings and mix history are stored on this iPhone.
Cue uses Firebase Analytics to understand how people use the app. It receives limited usage events, not your music files or mix history.
Purchases go through Apple. To confirm Cue Pro, Cue uses RevenueCat with an anonymous ID, not your name or email.
Cue doesn't show ads and doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Cue is an app for learning, practicing and performing DJ mixing. This policy explains what information the Cue app for iPhone handles, where it's kept, and who else receives it. In this policy, “we” means the developer of Cue.
Apple's own privacy policy covers the App Store, payments and your Apple Account.
Stored on this iPhone
Cue keeps the following on your device so the app works and remembers where you are:
Learning progress. Lessons completed, skills, unlocked deck controls, Cue Sets and your practice streak.
Your setup. The goal, experience level and genres you choose when you start.
Preferences. Settings such as default assistance, showing BPM on the decks, and haptics.
Mix history and reviews. When and how long you practiced, the tracks you mixed, and measurements of your mixing such as beat timing, tempo drift and transition results.
Favorites and resume point. Tracks you favorite and, when you pause, where a session left off.
Waveform cache. Waveform pictures drawn from Cue's training tracks, which Cue can rebuild at any time.
Cue keeps detailed learning records and mix history on your iPhone. It doesn't upload your music files, track names, or detailed mix history to analytics.
Sent to a service
When you view plans, buy, restore or check Cue Pro, information about your subscription is exchanged with Apple and with RevenueCat, as described in sections 4 and 5.
Firebase Analytics receives screen views and limited events such as onboarding choices, lesson and practice outcomes, Create matching, and Cue Pro purchase steps. Events use fixed identifiers and summary counts or durations. Firebase may also receive an app instance identifier and technical information about your device and app. Cue doesn't send names, email addresses, imported filenames, audio, receipts, or payment details as analytics events.
Not requested
Cue doesn't ask you to create an account or give your name, email or phone number, and doesn't ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera. Cue doesn't include advertising, and doesn't use the advertising identifier.
Training tracks are included with Cue and play on your device. Track generation isn't available in this version of Cue, so nothing you choose in Create is sent to a generation service. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
To run lessons, drills, Cue Sets and Free Mix, and to show your reviews and progress.
To recommend practice based on how your mixes went.
To remember your setup and preferences, and to let you resume a session.
To show plans, process purchases, restore them, and unlock Cue Pro.
To find and fix problems in the app.
To understand which lessons and features are useful and where people stop using them.
Cue Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and charges your Apple Account. We don't receive your payment card details.
To check whether you have Cue Pro, show the plans available to you, and restore purchases, Cue uses RevenueCat. Cue doesn't ask you to sign in for this; RevenueCat identifies the app on your device with an anonymous ID it creates.
Apple. Distributes Cue and processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may also give us crash reports and usage statistics, under Apple's terms.
RevenueCat, Inc. Manages subscription status for Cue. It receives the anonymous app user ID, your App Store purchase and subscription records for Cue (such as product, purchase and renewal dates, trial and renewal status), and technical details needed to handle the request, such as app version, device type, operating system, App Store country and IP address.
Google Firebase Analytics. Processes app usage events, screen views, and technical information to help us understand Cue's performance and improve it. Firebase uses an app instance identifier and may process device information and IP address under Google's privacy terms.
These companies handle information under their own privacy policies. We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Information on your iPhone stays there until you remove it. It may be included in your iPhone backups, depending on your backup settings.
Subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own policies. We don't set a separate retention period for them.
Firebase Analytics retains usage data according to the retention settings chosen for Cue's Firebase project. Removing Cue from your iPhone does not automatically remove data already received by Firebase.
Reset progress. Settings › Reset Learning Progress clears lessons, skills, deck controls, Cue Sets and your streak. Mix history, tracks, favorites, settings and purchases stay.
Remove everything on this iPhone. Deleting Cue removes the information it stored on your iPhone. Your subscription isn't canceled by deleting the app.
Manage or cancel Cue Pro. Use Manage Subscription in Cue, or your Apple Account's subscription settings.
Analytics requests. Contact us through Cue's App Store support link if you want to ask about analytics data held by our service providers.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because Cue has no accounts, the information on your iPhone is under your control. For subscription records, contact us as described below.
Cue isn't directed to children. Cue doesn't ask anyone for personal information, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has reached us, contact us and we'll address it.
Apple, RevenueCat and Google may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws from where you live.
Information Cue stores is protected by your iPhone's built-in security. Requests to RevenueCat and Firebase travel over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
If Cue's practices change, we'll update this policy in the app and change the date above. If a change is significant, we'll also point it out in the app.
