About Us

Cuddles for a Cause began with two sisters, a lot of heart, and a whole lot of bunny love. 💛

Aveah (9) and Makena (8) didn’t just find bunnies — bunnies found them. After Aveah bravely went through surgery for a broken arm, she received two rabbits as part of her recovery. What started as comfort during healing quickly grew into a deep love and respect for these gentle, sensitive animals.

As our family became more involved in the rabbit community — including participating in 4-H — we discovered a very special breed: the Teddywidder rabbit, which we believe to be some of the most cuddly, sweet-natured bunnies around. One bunny became two… then four… and today our family proudly cares for eight beloved rabbits, each with their own personality and purpose.

Through learning, hands-on care, and countless snuggles, we realized we wanted to do more than just love our bunnies — we wanted to share that love. That’s how Cuddles for a Cause was born.

Cuddles for a Cause is a bunny-based organization created to bring comfort, joy, education, and connection to people of all ages through gentle bunny interactions. At the same time, we are committed to helping bunnies in need. A portion of our proceeds is donated to the San Diego House Rabbit Society to support rescued rabbits and the incredible work being done for shelter bunnies in our community.

Our mission is simple but heartfelt:
