Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family. In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Adventure for the Whole Family

Cub Scouts is open to both boys and girls, from Kindergarten through fifth grade. But it’s not just for kids.

Scouting gives parents and their children an opportunity to make memories together, while helping kids develop skills and character traits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Whether it’s serving as a den leader, going camping as a family, or celebrating the achievement of earning a new badge, parents can be as involved as they’d like!

Pack 495 has been a part of the Ellicott City community for over 30 years.

Our pack is still active and following the guidance of county and state health departments, as well as local chartered partners, in order to implement the appropriate protocols to help keep our members and volunteers safe.

We continue to consult with the Baltimore Area Council regarding in-person activities and will meet and abide by any restrictions in place (e.g., group size and social distancing) regardless of the meeting location.
