What makes Cub Scouts awesome?
Scouts can be lifelong friends! Kids get to meet kids their age and interact and learn from older Scouts. Cub Scouts is a family activity and parents can make new friends too!
Cub Scouts like to get outside and play! Fishing, boating, archery, rock climbing, hiking, creek walks, and so much more!
It wouldn't be Cub Scouts without camping! We have many wonderful places to camp in North Carolina and campfires and s'mores are always included.
Cub Scouts learn many life skills such as cooking and nutrition, health and fitness, first aid, woodworking, home maintenance, and all types of jobs and careers.
For kids that like science Cub Scouts features tons of fun activities such as Pinewood Derby where physics makes you fast, trips to museums, and hands on science experiments.
A Scout is helpful, friendly and kind. We do service projects throughout the year such as Earth Day clean ups, Scouting for Food and wreath laying ceremonies.

Yes! In fact, parents or guardians need to accompany their children to Lion and Tiger meetings. Parents are also an important part of Scouts as we can't have a Pack without you! We need parents to be den leaders, committee members and help out with activities. Cub Scouts really is a family activity, the more the parents are involved with Scouts the more fun your kids will have.
