What is the Cub Scout Family Program?

The Cub Pack Family consists of smaller groups, or dens, that are categorized by grade level. Starting June of each year (using the grade your child is going into) if your child meets one of the following, they can join:

For example a scout that has graduated from the 1st grade (the day after graduation in June) is a Wolf for the summer (because they are a 2nd grader).

Youth that have not yet started Kindergarten are not eligible to sign up until the fall when they are registered.

Youth older than 10 or who have completed 5th grade are eligible to join the Scouts BSA program.

Scouts are recognized for their accomplishments as they work toward the badge for the rank they are currently in. After each adventure is completed, they will receive a belt loop (K- 3rd) or pin (4-5) to be worn with their uniform.

A group of 6 - 8 scouts make up a den, meeting almost every week. They encourage learning and exploring through hands-on high energy activities. Most meetings last 45 minutes to an hour outings may be slightly longer. Pack activities are scheduled every other month for all dens to participate in together.

Scouts have fun participating in den meetings, activities and outings while making lasting memories together. We have an active Cub Scout Program. We encourage attendance at as many activities as possible. Some activities can help them advance through Cub Scout ranks or earn additional badges. Just like the scouts, adults can earn badges too!
