Pack 220 is one of the oldest Cub Scout Packs in Lafayette, CA and has been serving our schools and community since 1952! Our Pack is open to BOYS & GIRLS, Kindergarten - 5th Grade and currently serves Lafayette Elementary, Springhill Elementary, St. Perpetua School and the Downtown Area. We are a parent-led and volunteer driven organization that strives to provide a fun, educational program that emphasizes the four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, physical fitness and leadership.
Our Pack is divided into Dens or Ranks by grade level:
Kindergarten - LIONS
1st Grade - TIGERS
2nd Grade - WOLVES
3rd Grade - BEARS
4th Grade - WEBELOS
5th Grade - ARROW OF LIGHTS
NOTE: BSA policies require Kindergartners and 1st Graders to be accompanied by an adult partner at all den and Pack events (no drop offs).
WHAT
Cub Scout activities are centered around earning rank badges that are specific to each Den level. Most Dens meet once a month to complete adventures that provide fun, hands-on learning in a variety of subject areas including nature, science, sports, citizenship and leadership.
Throughout the school year and summer, we also hold a Pack event about once a month, which is open to all grades and the whole family can participate! Several beloved activities are the fall and spring campouts and the annual Pinewood Derby! We also coordinate a number of community service events including Scouting for Food, the annual Cub Scout food drive, Scout Volunteer Day at the Food Bank and school campus clean ups.
WHERE
Each Grade-Level Den will decide upon a convenient meeting time and location.
Most Pack events are held in Lamorinda. Popular venues include Lafayette and Springhill Elementary campuses, Veterans Memorial Building and Lafayette United Methodist Church (LUMC).
Campouts and hikes are held throughout the Bay Area.

SCOUTING ON: Scouting's Response to the Challenges of COVID-19 and Wildfires
Scouting is flexible. Scouting families can choose to do many activities virtually with other Scouts, in-person or as a family unit on their own time. Over this last year, through virtual content, Pack 220 was able to maintain our Scouting program and has been able to provide even more resources to families. We are planning for an in-person Scouting year but should any situations arise that would prohibit in-person events (i.e. new social distancing guidelines, poor air quality due to wildfires), we are prepared to make necessary adjustments to ensure we can “Scout On!” When Scouting in-person, comprehensive safety measures are taken.
