Cub Scout Pack 108
rarely indoors since 1994
Golden Gate Area Council - Golden Gate District
Chartered for 29 years as a multiple award earning unit!
Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 108, chartered by St. Cecilia Parish. Below is some information about the types of activities we do. Please feel free to look at our upcoming activities here and join us for anything you find interesting. Always feel free to contact us and ask any questions you may have. Email: sf.pack108@gmail.com
Hiking
We usually have one pack hike per month. Many of these are in and around San Francisco. The events page always lists the details of the hike so you can determine if it's appropriate for your child, but most hikes are between 1-3 miles and easy to moderate in difficulty.
Camping
Pack 108 loves camping! We have at least four camping trips each year, with the Spring and Autumn trips including shooting sports (BB guns, archery, sling shot). One of our favorite campsites is Camp Tamarancho in Fairfax which includes fishing, too.
Pack Meetings
We meet as a pack the third Friday of every month. The schedule and location can be found here. Pack meetings usually include a short game, a skit, some Den time to work on rank activities, and short story or lesson about that month's point of the Scout Law.
Service Projects
In keeping with our Scouting and St. Cecilia's values, we believe in helping our community and being good stewards of our environment. Our projects vary, but always include Scouting for Food, managing trash at the parish festival, beach cleanups, and Memorial Day flag planting. Plus, every hike is a mini service project of picking up trash we find along the way.
Special Events
There are lots of special events throughout the year - some for just fun, some educational, and some to celebrate how awesome our Scouts are! Some of the events for the 2023-2024 year included being hosted by the Sea Scouts for Fleet Week, Scout Sunday, a Pinewood Derby, a sleepover at the Chabot Space & Science Center, an overnight on the Jeremiah O'Brien, Scout Night at a San Jose Sharks game, a tour of the Marin Headlands, and our end of year Blue & Gold picnic.
Pack 108 sounds awesome!
How do we join?
How do we join?
Scouts can join at any time during the year. Dues are prorated for the number of months the Scout will be enrolled.
A Scout does not have to be enrolled to attend most activities - feel free to have your child try out some of the different things we do to see if they like it. The only exception is overnights - for insurance reasons Scouts must be enrolled to attend overnight activities.
All activities are optional - so is "making rank." Nothing in Cub Scouts is mandatory except doing our best and having fun!
If you're ready to join you can complete the application here, or email us for more information.
