Cube Hub collects nothing, stores nothing about you, and sends nothing anywhere. This page explains what that means in practice, and how you can check it for yourself.
Application: com.byb.cubesolver
Developer: Ahmed Giovanni Sghairi
Effective: 26 August 2026
Cube Hub scans a Rubik's cube with your camera and works out how to solve it. Every part of that happens on your phone. The app has no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no crash reporting of its own. It does not build a profile of you, because it never has anything to build one from.
Nothing. We collect no personal data, no device identifiers, no usage statistics, and no diagnostics. No information of any kind is transmitted from the app to us or to anyone else, so there is nothing for us to store, sell, or share.
Cube Hub asks for camera access for one purpose: to look at the faces of your cube and read the colour of each sticker. Android asks your permission the first time, and you can withdraw it at any point from Settings. The rest of the app keeps working without it - the 3D viewer, the freestyle playground, the timer, and entering a cube by hand.
Camera frames are held in memory only, for as long as it takes to read the colours from them.
Photographs are never written to storage - not to your gallery, not to the app's own folder, not to a temporary file.
No image ever leaves the device. The app has no way to send one.
A handful of small values are saved in the app's private storage so that Cube Hub behaves sensibly between sessions. None of it is personal information, and none of it is readable by other apps.
Your light or dark theme choice.
Whether you have already seen the freestyle tutorial.
The solve you are part-way through, so it survives closing the app.
Your timer history and the cube size you last used.
Pre-computed solver tables in the app's cache, which are working data and can be cleared at any time.
All of it lives inside the app's own sandbox and is deleted when you uninstall Cube Hub. Clearing the app's data from Android's settings removes it immediately.
Permissions declared by the package:
REQUESTED - android.permission.CAMERA
ABSENT - android.permission.INTERNET
Android grants network access only to apps that declare the internet permission. Cube Hub does not declare it, so the operating system itself refuses any connection the app might try to open. This is not a promise about our intentions - it is a property of the installed package, and any permission viewer on your phone will show you the same two lines.
Cube Hub includes open-source libraries for the camera preview, the interface, and the cube-solving algorithms. They run entirely on your device and none of them contacts a server. There is no advertising network, no analytics provider, and no third party that receives data from this app, because no data is sent at all.
Cube Hub is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children in particular. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Data protection law gives you the right to see, correct, and erase personal data a developer holds about you. In our case there is none to see, correct, or erase: we hold no data about Cube Hub's users. The data on your device is yours, and uninstalling the app removes all of it.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page is updated and the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be described in the release notes on Google Play. The current version of this policy is always the one published at this address.
