Come meet the pack at Thunder Hill Pool on 8/9/2025 at 3:00 PM! We'll have popsicles! No RSVP needed, just show up if you're interested in Scouts!
Cub scouting is fun for the whole family. Pack 838 accepts boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Stop by our next event and check us out.
We’re all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge.
Pack 838 has a fun-filled 2025-26 calendar of activities, including:
Fall camping at Elk Neck State Park -- Hiking -- Pinewood Derby -- Veterans Day Parade -- Blue & Gold -- Rain-Gutter Regatta -- Spring camping -- Trunk-or-Treat -- Campfires -- Klondike Derby -- Scouting for Food Community Food Drive -- Fishing Derby -- Picnics -- Holiday Light Hunts -- Crafts -- Gaga Ball -- Neighborhood Clean Ups
Our schedule to the right is updated regularly.
Come check us out.
Can't make every event? No worries, no one does. We set the Pack calendar early in the year to make your scheduling easier.
Cub Scout Pack 838 typically meets at Thunder Hill Elementary School off Mellenbrook Rd for Pack and Den Meetings.
Occasionally we meet outdoors in the Thunder Hill Neighborhood and other locations as well.
