How do I sign up?
You don't need to sign up, just walk in on Friday, October 25th! We will have stations set up for everyone to use.
However, you can sign up early through the CTWC Discord in mid-October and complete an online qualifier. We encourage this to help with the number of stations available for those who do not have a discord account, or do not have access to a capture card and/or webcam to record their qualifier. Use the button above to join the CTWC Discord.
What's a qualifier?
A qualifier will determine the seeding of the 12-player Open tournament and the 12-player DAS Tournament. Your highest score will determine your tournament seeding. Additionally, players that maxout their score (reach 999,999) will have one hour to achieve as many maxouts as possible. The total number of maxouts will determine their tournament seed. For tiebreakers, we use their highest non-maxout score, known as a kicker. Your score needs to be verified by tournament staff.
Qualifying attempts will be on type A Tetris on NES Tetris for the highest score.
What is the high score challenge?
This is exactly what you used to do in an arcade. You play a game and see where your score is on the leaderboard.
We will have open play on Saturday, October 26th for everyone to come in.
We encourage everyone to come in to make an attempt! Who's the best in your family?
We will have multiple age/ability categories. That means you don't have to go up against the pros... unless you are one.
Prizes for every category! These will be handed out immediately before the tournament finals at 2:30pm!
4. Can I just come and watch?
Of course! With 4 of the top players in the world here at Lexicon, this isn't something you want to miss!!
Need help or have questions? Contact the tournament organizer here: Karin84c@gmail.com
Players who have qualified and a link to the tournament brackets will be posted shortly after all qualifiers have completed on Friday, October 25th.
