Upon successfully completing the background check process, the Designated Individuals will proceed to one of the two designated web sites offered to complete their “Abuse Awareness” training. Each person should check with their state baseball chairman to see which training site is recommended for their program. The two training sites are:

Once a Designated Individuals completes their “Abuse Awareness” training and prints off their Certificate of Completion they will have proof of completion. Proof of completion must be submitted to their American Legion department baseball chairman each baseball season prior to any meetings, events, practices or games that involve youth participants. The American Legion Baseball program mandates that each Designated Individuals renew their abuse awareness training certificate annually. The certificate of completion will need to be presented to tournament officials should a team qualify for post season play such as The American Legion National Regionals or World Series tournaments.
