Keep hearing about people using Google Docs but don't know why? Maybe you teach at a school that has the Google Suite but you're still using Word? Are you tired of trying to figure out which version of your document is the latest and greatest? Google Slides can be used for teacher or student presentations, but they can be used for so much more! Common Core wants students to make connections with text and give presentations - but why not have them present their information in a creative way. Come and see how Slides can be used to create stories, ebooks or even make slides branch off in different directions (like a choose your own adventure book!). You will leave with a new appreciation for Google Slides and will wonder how you haven't done this in class before!

NGSS has asked that we allow students to Plan and Carry Out Investigations (SEP 3). They also state "they should engage in investigations that range from those structured by the teacher...to those that emerge from students’ own questions". In this session we will take a look at what it really takes for students to create their own labs and we will use the Google Suite (Docs/Slides) to do it! You will leave with something you can do in your science classroom this week!
