This year's VCN story follows the struggles of two teenage girls, Ngoc and Linh. Ngoc has just immigrated to the United States from Vietnam and deals with immediate culture shock and an entire new lifestyle. Linh is a Vietnamese-American who is struggling internally with her own demons as well as with her family and societal expectations. We see the individual struggles both Ngoc and Linh go through while in high school and how their connection allows them to learn about themselves and each other.
