12th Computational Social Science

Satellite Event of CCS'24

(Room: TBD)

September 3rd - Exeter, UK

About

For the last two decades, computational models combined with large-scale transactional data have been used by computational social scientists to explain, predict, and even forecast social phenomena.

The general aim of this satellite (one of the oldest satellite series of the Conference on Complex Systems, active since 2013) is to address social phenomena emerging over multiple scales, ranging from the interactions of individuals to the emergence of self-organized global movements within the realm of computational social science.

We would like to gather researchers from different disciplines and methodological backgrounds to form a forum to discuss ideas, research questions, recent results, and future challenges in this emerging area of research and public interest.

Submission

Submissions will be made through OpenReview by sending a PDF document of 2 pages maximum (see LaTeX template). On the first page, you must include title, authors and their affiliations, and full abstract of your talk. The second page can only include one figure with caption, and references.

The contributions to the event will be evaluated by the programme committee through a peer-review process that will account for the scientific quality as well as for the relevance of the contribution to the aims of the satellite. Successful submissions will be given a 1215 minutes slot for oral presentation at the event.
