RESERVOIR/LAKE ⇨ WATER TREATMENT PLANT
What’s the Story?
How exciting, to be DRINKING WATER!! Reservoirs are important water sources for cities and communities around the world. Water is pumped from the reservoir (lake) into a water treatment plant to be purified into safe, drinkable water. This process can have different steps depending on the quality of the source water and the technology available at the treatment plant, but typically involves the key steps of filtration (filtering out particulates) and disinfection (treatment to kill harmful organisms unsafe for human consumption). Other chemicals are sometimes added to the water before distribution, such as chlorine, fluoride, and silicates.
