About Us

The CSEE PTO is led by five board members elected yearly by members of the organization. We welcome you to become a voting member and be a part of our governance process.

We are working parents just like you, who care deeply about our school, the success of our children and the community at large. We volunteer our time because we believe that being actively present in our children's education will foster in them a sense of pride and a willingness to be active participants in the success of their community.

Meet the Board Members

President

My name is Lisbel Rosario. I have two children. Alexis, entering 7th grade this year, has been blessed to be a student of CSEE since Kindergarten. My youngest son, Kaiden Reese, just turned two. Although he isn’t in school yet, his ability to light up a room is unsurpassed. Last year I served on the PTO board as President and for the 2019-2020 school year I was re-elected to serve once again as the President. In the past I have donated my time to help run the holiday sale, movie night, family paint night, family fitness night & used uniform sale. I enjoy working with parents, teachers, staff and students to bring fun and exciting events to CSEE. I am looking forward to serving on the board to help bring much needed funding to CSEE which will go directly back to the students in the form of supplies, scholastic magazines, field trip funding, fun & educational programs, and family programs.

Vice President

My name is Suzette Lennard. I work as Patient Care Coordinator, Inpatient Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian.

Mother to twin boys in grade 8 who have been at CSEE since kindergarten. I joined the PTO to become connected to what is happening in the school, meet other parents to share ideas, concerns and experiences. What I received as a result was more than I anticipated, joy on my children's faces as they observe my involvement.

Recording Secretary

Hi! My name is Leidy Bibiana Solis, It’s my 2nd year serving as Recording Secretary. My husband Giovanni and I have three daughters ages 5, 3 and 1. Our oldest Bibiana is entering 1^st grade. We love to teach our children to volunteer and care for others. I look forward to serving and supporting all students. My goal is to encourage more active participation in our PTO.

Hi there! Sheonia Afriyie here and I am a loud, proud CSEE parent of a stupendous second grader. Though my son and I have had the privilege of being part of the CSEE community since Kindergarten, this will be my first full year participating as a member of the PTO. It is my genuine belief that "it takes a village to raise a child", and as the PTO Coordinating Secretary and Social Media Chairperson, I will be an active positive participant. My belief is that health, self-esteem, independence, empathy, grit, life and financial literacy are all just as essential in development as academics. My goal is to help strengthen the relationship between students, parents, and faculty to aid in the strong environment CSEE fosters while promoting the growth and development of our youth. I appreciate you allowing me to take part in the flourishing of your child! I encourage you to be an active participant in any way possible with the PTO! I look forward to us being greater together! Co-Treasurer

Shauna Johnstone-Smalls

This is my third year serving as PTO Treasurer. I am a Mother of two current CSEE Students. For 16 years I have worked and lived in Yonkers. In addition to working in a local community Hospital I am a proud member and Delegate for 1199 SEIU. As an active member of my unions’ political action committee I have stood on the battle lines to fight for Yonkers and our residents.

With the PTO, I will continue to fundraise so we can add enrichment programs to our children’s education and allow them to enjoy learning. I am a firm believer that our children can do anything with the right village behind them!
