Welcome to the site for the Master's Course CSE 6801: Distributed Computing Systems. This course focuses on the analysis and management issues in Distributed Computing systems. While the Distributed computing paradigm gains more popularity, there are many unresolved issues related to consistency, integrity, and availability of data and computations. In this course, we will examine distributed computing models, look into the data model, storage, analytics and security issues related to data and computation, and explore practical applications for distributed computing.
We will mainly study the cutting edge research published in recent conferences. This course is expected to be a research-based course. Research work will be more emphasized than traditional lectures and examinations.
