Every skin has an edition that shows the skin's quality tier. There are five editions, going from the simplest to the most complex; Select, Deluxe, Premium, Exclusive, and Ultra. Melee skins are the only skins in the game to all be classed as Exclusive, though their prices (for melees that can be bought from the Store) are usually related to the edition of the bundle they are associated with.

This system was initially used by Store skins only, but starting from v4.11, it is now currently applied to all weapon skins (though not mentioned in any patch notes). Skins from Agent Gear are all Select edition, Battle Passes are Select and Deluxe edition, and all types of skins can be found in the Store.

Every act contains a new battle pass that has skins for 13 weapons. Each weapon's skin will come from one of three skin collections unique to the act's battle pass. Since IGNITION: Act 3, one of these collections also has variants that players can unlock with Radianite Points. Players immediately unlock one of the skins upon buying the pass. The rewards upon reaching Tier 50 are always the same; the Free Track, which all players have access to, awards a sidearm skin, but players who have bought access to the Premium Track unlock a melee skin, along with the other skins in previous tiers.

Weapon skins can be bought from the store from the player's daily offers or the featured bundle. Occasionally, a limited time bundle or capsule may be released to celebrate an event, only appearing for a certain period of time and will not appear in the Store's daily offers after the duration ends, making them some of the rarest skins in the game. The price of the skin depends on the weapon's edition tier, with melee skins usually costing double the price of a gun skin from the same edition:

There's a large detailed MG texture (sopcamel_c_mg.dds) which affects their appearance when looking at the MG's from inside the cockpit but this doesn't affect the look of the guns on the external view. Intuition says I need to edit the smaller low res. file !sopcamel_c_mg.dds but I can't find what this affects, as even painting this texture all over high-vis pink with a light grey alpha channel seems to change nothing in game, and I'd have though such a bright pink reflective surface would be easy to spot if it was actually rendered in game.

Question is, will we still be able to earn the old comp points to get golden guns? Because if not, then how will we get other golden guns? Will they change the comp currency per year, so that we only have one year to get the current gun skin?

I get the impression the reasoning for the split was just that they dont want people who have hoarded a bunch of comp points to just unlock a bunch of emerald skins. They probably want them to feel special and feel more earned through the new style of progression that requires you actually play to earn them, instead of people who would commonly just do placements and then get the end of season rewards to stockpile them.

Weapon Skins are a customization option available in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. They can be purchased with Renown or Credits . Weapon Skins come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Some weapon skins, defined as Seasonal and Universal, can be applied to many weapons while each weapon has their own unique skins. Universal skins are applied to all current and future weapons whilst Seasonal skins are applied to all weapons available at the release of the skin. Like other customization options, weapon skins are rotated out frequently. Active weapon skins are skins that can be currently purchased in the in-game store while all other skins may only be obtained through special deals in the in-game store or Alpha Packs. Special weapon skins are also available through expansion seasons or the Ubisoft Club.

Seasonal weapon skins become available upon the release of a new expansion pack and can be applied to all weapons released prior and during that expansion, individually or through bundles. Once the current season ends, the Seasonal skins of that expansion are no longer available for purchase.

Assassin for most pistols, except the .45 , .38snub, and RSA. Why? These guns look cool on assassin, but I feel the more original look is best. Some guns come with that 'nickel plate look, and it is the default or alternative, I hate those

Why? Cause Imma broke pattoottie. You know how hard it is to be a Clown and wear a Covi Mask; So I paint the guns myself using my clown make-up and some watered down nail polish an a splash of dog drool for adhesion.

We now have Jade Bot skins, I see a lot of people using them including the heavily overpriced winged cat. So where are the Gun-Saber(And accompanying sheath) skins for BladeSworn, the mortar skins for Engi and so on? It's reasonable to think those would sell just as well as Jade Bot skins if not better.

Going from the most recent skins. I don't want them to release new skins. I don't need bladesworns swinging a frying pan or a stop sign and I most certainly don't need a big fluffy cat skin for mechs.

Perhaps, but the point stands. Offering skins for a weapon only usable by one profession (and an elite one at that) doesn't set a good precedent IMO. Saying this point is true for rifles is simply incorrect.

It absolutly stands true, lol, as someone who crafted HMS Divinity and never got to make use of it till 5~ years later with Engi buff because Deadeye Rifle became a big failure and it was the least used weapon category in the game. You're being really apathetic. Anet has made countless skins that have very minimal access/use across classes. That is a ton of design work for something few can use. Skins for frequently used class mechanics would probably get more screentime than them if it were a thing.

Stock weapon "skins" are also color coded with dark brown in the in-game inventory. Some stock weapons have market pages like the AK-47 for example, but they are not tradable or marketable so this color is rarely used for anything other than arbitrary sorting.

Excluding knife skins, weapon skins are organized by collections. The contents of a single case outside of the rare special items are considered to be part of a single collection. For non-case items, they are in collections based on a theme. This can be based on map, like the 2021 Vertigo Collection, or through an external theme such as the Gods and Monsters Collection.

The collection the randomly dropped weapon skins are in are not dependent on what map the player was playing. For example, playing on Train will not guarantee the player a skin from the Train Collection.

War thunder got the ability to use modded custom skins for the tanks. The best thing about it, the skins are only shown for the player who downloaded them. That means, no matter what the skin looks like, other players will not be affected at all. That means that there would not be a single reason to be angry about even the skins which are unrealistic. No one except the player who wants to see it will see the skins.

Now the ideas for custom modded weapon skins: -battlefield 1 got insanely great weapon skins in my opinion: Some are very nicely decorated, others are just simply recolored wood or the best, damaged guns.

You missed the important point i think. I meant modded custom skins which can be downloaded just like in warthunder. Also it would not matter if they are realistic, because they would only be shown for the player who downloaded the skin. Just like in warthunder. The basegame will not be affected at all

Most of the Weapons in game can be customized by equipping a different Weapon Skin. The majority of weapon skins have a chance to drop after completing matches, while the others may be obtainable through different means, such as completing milestones or via the Super Animal Pass. Skins do not affect weapon stats in any way, and are purely cosmetic. 0852c4b9a8
