Cryo ("we", "our", "us") is an Android app that helps you monitor device performance and optimize your device for gaming. This policy explains what information Cryo and the third-party services inside it collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Cryo does not have its own servers and does not collect your name, email address, phone number or precise location. The following is processed only on your device and is never sent to us:
Performance readings (CPU, GPU, RAM, temperature, FPS) shown in the app and the floating window.
List of installed apps and the app currently in the foreground. Cryo uses the "query all packages" and "usage access" permissions to show your game list and app manager, and to detect when a game starts so it can apply your chosen settings.
Your settings, free-action counter and PRO status, stored in the app's local storage. Uninstalling Cryo deletes them.
Cryo uses Shizuku only after you grant it, to run the system commands you choose (resolution scaling, freezing or stopping background apps). The overlay permission and a foreground service are used to display the floating performance window and the AFK black screen.
Free users see banner, interstitial (full-screen) and rewarded video ads. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) mediation and Unity Ads. These services may collect and share:
Device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID) and user identifiers assigned by the ad services
Approximate location derived from your IP address
Interactions with ads (views, taps) and app usage times
Purchase history, which Unity Ads may use for ad optimization
App diagnostics and performance data
This data is used for advertising and ad measurement, analytics, app functionality, and fraud prevention and security. It is collected by Unity, not by us, and is encrypted in transit. See Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
Users with Cryo PRO do not see ads.
Your choices:
EEA, UK and Switzerland: Cryo tells the ad services that you have not consented to personalized advertising, so you only receive non-personalized ads. Cryo decides whether this applies on your device, from the country of your SIM card or mobile network, or from your time zone when the device has neither; this check is not sent to us. Non-personalized ads may still use the data listed above for frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention.
If a consent message from the Google User Messaging Platform is shown to you, the choice you make there is used instead, and you can change it at any time from "Ad privacy options" in the Cryo PRO screen.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads (the exact path depends on your device).
Cryo PRO is purchased through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google; Cryo never sees your payment details. Cryo only checks with Google Play whether your Google Play account owns the PRO purchase. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
To show the PRO price in your local currency, Cryo downloads public exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API (https://www.exchangerate-api.com). The request contains no personal information; like any internet request, it reveals your IP address to that service.
If you choose to rate Cryo from inside the app, Google Play shows its own review window (Google Play In-App Review). The star rating and any text you write go directly to Google Play and are published as your public review on the Play Store, under your Google account. Cryo never receives them, and Google does not tell Cryo whether you left a review. The data is encrypted in transit, and you can edit or delete your review at any time in the Play Store. Cryo stores no data about you on any server. Uninstalling the app removes everything Cryo stored on your device. To request deletion of data collected by Unity's advertising services, use the options in Unity's privacy policy linked above, or contact us and we will help you submit the request. Reviews you leave on Google Play can be edited or deleted in the Play Store.
Cryo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy when the app changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
