1. Introduction

SANGWOO YOO ("we", "our", or "us") operates CrushPov, a mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use CrushPov.

By using CrushPov, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you disagree with the terms of this policy, please discontinue use of the application.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use CrushPov, we may collect or process the following:

Information you provide

• Gender preference (selected during onboarding or in Settings), used to personalize analysis labels and AI prompts

• Chat screenshots you choose to upload from your photo library

• Referral / invite codes you create, share, or redeem

• Support messages if you contact us by email (including your email address and the content of your message)

Information created when you use the app

• On-device text extracted from your screenshots (OCR). Screenshots are processed on your device; the resulting chat text may be sent to our AI provider for analysis

• Analysis results generated from that text (for example interest signals, flags, and advice), stored on your device

• Purchase and entitlement status related to CrushPov Pro subscriptions and SuperCharge purchases (handled through Apple In-App Purchase and our paywall provider)

• App preferences and local state (for example survey completion, unlock status, and scan-related settings) stored on your device

Device and technical information

• Basic technical information that may be processed by Apple, our infrastructure, or service providers in the normal course of operating a mobile app (for example device type or OS-related signals used for delivery, security, or purchases)

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, precise GPS location, or contacts list. CrushPov does not require a traditional email/password account. Referral features may use an anonymous account identifier with our backend provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide CrushPov’s core features, including screenshot-based chat analysis and results

• Personalize content (for example gender-related labels in analysis)

• Process subscriptions, one-time purchases, restores, and related entitlement checks

• Operate referral / invite unlock features

• Send local notifications you enable (for example reminders)

• Respond to support requests

• Improve reliability, prevent abuse or fraud, and comply with legal obligations

4. AI Processing

When you run an analysis, CrushPov converts selected screenshots into text on your device and may send that text (along with limited context such as gender preference) to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) to generate analysis results.

Please avoid uploading screenshots that contain sensitive personal data you do not want processed. You are responsible for only uploading content you have the right to use.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these limited cases:

Service providers. We use trusted third parties to help operate CrushPov, which may include:

• Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, device/OS services)

• Firebase (Google) (anonymous authentication and referral-related data storage)

• Superwall (paywalls and subscription/paywall-related processing)

• OpenAI (AI analysis of OCR chat text)

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Business transfers. If SANGWOO YOO’s rights in CrushPov are transferred (for example through a sale or merger), information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to notify you if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Storage and Retention

• Screenshots you upload and analysis results are stored primarily on your device

• Referral-related data may be stored with our backend provider and linked to an anonymous identifier

• Purchase records are also governed by Apple’s systems and policies

We retain information as long as needed to provide the app and related features, or as required by law. You can remove local app data by deleting the app. You may also request deletion of account-related or server-stored data associated with CrushPov by contacting us at crushpov.app@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encrypted transit (HTTPS/TLS) where data is sent over the internet and access limitations on systems we control.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights (GDPR — EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have rights under the GDPR, including:

• Right of access

• Right to rectification

• Right to erasure

• Right to restrict processing

• Right to data portability

• Right to object

• Right to withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

Our legal bases for processing may include: (a) performance of a contract (providing the app), (b) your consent (where required), and (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving CrushPov.

9. Children’s Privacy

CrushPov is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International Transfers

If you use CrushPov from outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries (including the United States) that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. Where appropriate, we may also provide notice in the app.

Continued use of CrushPov after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
