Summer Dare Kickoff Party
Sunday, June 2 - 1:30pm-4:30pm
On Sunday, June 2, the library will be kicking off Summer Dare 2019 with a party on the lawn at the Ladd Library from 2-4pm. We have all sorts of activities planned on the grass and in the shade: games, activities, snacks, a bounce house and the opportunity to register early for the program. This will be a fun, interactive, multi-generational event!
Bubble Fun in Greene Square
Monday, June 3 - 9:30am-11am
Supervise and have fun with children as they blow and pop bubbles, and make a pipe cleaner wand to take home. Note: program will be outside, so please dress according to the weather and in something you wouldn't mind getting bubbles on.
Tuesday, June 11 - 5:20pm-8pm
Help out at this adult-oriented event where mocktails will be mixed and enjoyed. You'll assist with pouring drinks and creating a cheery atmosphere. Staff and our special guest will be wearing suspenders, dress shirt and tie--feel free to dress to match!
Train-Up in the Park
Saturday, June 15 - 12pm-4:15pm
On Saturday, June 15, Greene Square Park is turning into a virtual Pokemon GO battle arena and the library is unveiling Ada Island, the newest Pokemon region, within the library's walls. The afternoon will be packed with in-game activities--PvP battles, raid battle meet-ups, and trades--as well as a live-action Pokemon scavenger hunt and a Make Your Own Pokemon craft station.
If possible, come dressed as a Pokemon trainer, or just make sure you're in cool, comfortable clothes. This is a rain or shine event, so in case of inclement weather, all activities will move indoors.
Sensory Bins at Ladd Library
Friday, June 28 - 9:30am-11:30am
Have some fun and maybe get a little messy as you help staff prep materials, then supervise and interact with babies and toddlers as they play with a variety of sensory activities. The program will be outside so please dress accordingly. This role is moderately physical.

Summer circus Party
Saturday, July 27 - 9:30am-12:30pm
Help us celebrate the end of our summer reading program under the big top. Planned activities include: circus games, face painters, acrobats, a dunk tank and more. This will be a fun, interactive, multi-generational event!
