This Privacy Policy describes how Crow Player ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application Crow Player (com.crowplayer.crow). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Crow Player is a standalone video player application that allows users to play videos and streams from URLs. It also works as a companion player for compatible streaming apps.
Crow Player stores the following data locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
Watch History: Records of videos you have played, stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
Favorites: Videos you save to your favorites list, stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
App Preferences: Your theme preference (light/dark mode) and other settings, stored in SharedPreferences on your device.
Our app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may automatically collect the following information:
Device information (device type, model, operating system version)
Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID)
IP address and approximate location (derived from IP)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
App usage data related to ad display
This data is collected and processed by Google according to their privacy policy.
When the app starts, it contacts our server (api.heistseo.com) once to fetch ad configuration settings (enabled/disabled status, ad unit IDs, display frequency). No personal data, device identifiers, or user information is sent to our server during this request.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
Content Playback: To play videos and streams requested by the user.
Watch History and Favorites: To allow you to revisit previously watched content and access saved videos. This data stays on your device.
Advertising: To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob that support the free availability of the app.
App Configuration: To fetch ad display settings from our server to manage the advertising experience.

Crow Player displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including banner ads and interstitial (full-screen) ads. Google AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and other data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
How to Opt Out of Personalized Ads:
Open your device's Settings
Navigate to Google > Ads
Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

Opting out of personalized ads does not remove ads from the app; it means the ads shown may be less relevant to your interests.
All personal data (watch history, favorites, preferences) is stored locally on your device in encrypted SQLite databases and SharedPreferences. We do not store any personal data on our servers.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information on your device, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Local data (watch history, favorites, preferences) is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. There is no automatic expiration or deletion of this data.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's privacy policy and data practices. We do not have access to or control over the data collected by Google AdMob.
You have full control over your data stored by Crow Player:
Delete Data Within the App:
Open Crow Player
Go to Settings (gear icon)
Under "Data Management", you can:
Delete Watch History
Delete Favorites
Delete All Data (clears history, favorites, and all preferences)
Delete Data via Android Settings:
Open your device's Settings
Go to Apps > Crow Player > Storage
Tap "Clear Data" to remove all app data
Uninstall the App:
Uninstalling Crow Player will permanently remove all locally stored data including watch history, favorites, and preferences.
No account or server-side data exists, so no additional deletion request is needed.
Crow Player is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to remove such information.
As ad-related data may be processed by Google's global infrastructure, information collected by Google AdMob may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Google complies with applicable data transfer frameworks as described in their privacy policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app through an app update. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
