Privacy Policy — Croft Farm Dog Friends

Croft Farm Dog Friends ("the App") is operated as an independent project. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it's used.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect a username, email address, password (securely handled by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your raw password), and an optional backup phone number.
Location: The App uses your device's location only while the app is open, to detect whether you're within a dog park's boundary and automatically check your dog in or out. Location is not collected or stored when the app is closed.
Dog profile information: Name, breed, age, sex, weight range, photo, and behavior ratings you choose to enter for your dog(s).
User-generated content: Ratings, reviews, and comments you post about other dogs, and messages you post in a park's chat board. This content is visible to other users of the same dog park.
Usage data: Check-in/check-out timestamps and visit history, used to power features like busiest-time charts and visit streaks.
How We Use Information
To operate core app features (geofenced check-in, live roster, ratings, park chat)
To send you optional app news or alerts, only if you've opted in
To maintain basic safety features, such as reviewing reported content
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database) and is subject to Google's own data processing and security practices as our infrastructure provider.
Other users of the same dog park can see: your dog's profile info, your username as attached to reviews/comments/chat messages, and whether your dog is currently checked in.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete your dog's profile at any time within the app.
You can opt out of email alerts at any time in Account settings.
To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the information below.
Children's Privacy
This App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
