Cristina Argelich Comelles (Lleida, 1990) is Professor in Private Law, accredited as Associate Professor, and European Commission Consultant on AI contracting and data. She holds a PhD in Law with honours on ‘Compulsory housing lease’ (University of Lleida, 2017). She was awarded the Ferrer Eguizábal Prize on legal challenges of artificial intelligence (2024), the IX Research Prize of the Zaragoza Housing Chair (2024), the IX Prize of the Revista Crítica de Derecho Inmobiliario (2020), and the First Arquímedes Prize of the Spanish Ministry of Education (2013). She has been awarded 1 six-year research period (2014-2019). She is a member of the European Law Institute (2022-).
Her expertise and research focuses on Housing, IT Law and European Private Law. She has more than 100 publications, 40% of which in Q1, and the monographs 'La contratación con inteligencia artificial y su armonización en el Derecho privado europeo', ‘Ley por el derecho a la vivienda’ and ‘La expropiación temporal del uso de viviendas’, more than 50 invited keynotes at academic conferences, as well as three-month postdoctoral research stays at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (2025), the Sapienza Università di Roma (2024), UNIDROIT (2022) and The University of Manchester (2017). She has conducted several media interviews, the Spanish report for the European Commission on ‘Novel forms of contracting in the digital economy’ (2024) and on ‘Supporting the evaluation of the Free Flow of Non-Personal Data Regulation, Open Data Directive and Data Governance Act’ (2025), the report ‘La expropiación temporal del uso de viviendas vacías en la Comunidad Valenciana’ for the Valencian Regional Department of Housing (2022), and participation in the report 'La propiedad Privada en España' of the Instituto de Estudios Económicos (2021).

Cristina Argelich Comelles (Lleida, 1990) es Profesora de Derecho civil, acreditada a Profesor Titular, y Consultora nacional para la Comisión Europea sobre contratación con IA y datos. Doctora en Derecho con premio extraordinario por la Universidad de Lleida (2017), por su tesis doctoral "El arrendamiento forzoso de vivienda". Obtuvo el Premio Jurídico Ferrer Eguizábal sobre los retos jurídicos de la inteligencia artificial (2024), el IX Premio de la Cátedra Zaragoza Vivienda (2024), el IX Premio de la Revista Crítica de Derecho Inmobiliario (2020), y el Primer Premio del XII Certamen Universitario Arquímedes del Ministerio de Educación (2013). Tiene reconocido 1 sexenio nacional de investigación 2014-2019 por CNEAI-ANECA. Pertenece como miembro al European Law Institute (2022-).
El Derecho de la vivienda, el Derecho digital y el Derecho privado europeo constituyen sus principales líneas de investigación. Cuenta con más de 100 publicaciones, el 40% de las cuales en Q1, y las monografías "La contratación con inteligencia artificial y su armonización en el Derecho privado europeo", "Ley por el derecho a la vivienda" y "La expropiación temporal del uso de viviendas", la realización de más de 50 ponencias invitadas en congresos académicos, así como estancias postdoctorales de investigación de tres meses de duración en el Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (2025), la Sapienza Università di Roma (2024), UNIDROIT (2022) y The University of Manchester (2017). En cuanto a su actividad de transferencia de conocimiento, cuenta con diversas intervenciones en medios de comunicación, la elaboración del informe nacional de España para la Comisión Europea sobre "Novel forms of contracting in the digital economy" (2024) y "Supporting the evaluation of the Free Flow of Non-Personal Data Regulation, Open Data Directive and Data Governance Act" (2025), del informe "La expropiación temporal del uso de viviendas vacías en la Comunidad Valenciana: propuestas legislativas para su recuperación e instrumentos análogos" para la Consejería de Vivienda de la Comunidad Valenciana (2022), y la participación en el informe “La propiedad privada en España” del Instituto de Estudios Económicos (2021).
