Creekside Campground is a small, family run campground in the heart of Willow, Alaska. We are a great halfway point in your travels between Anchorage and Denali. Join us for a calming connection with pure Alaskan nature and, on a clear day, a view of Denali!
The campground features:
- RV Sites with 30 and 50 amp service and water hook up
-Tent sites on the bank of the creek
-Pull-thru and pull-in sites
-Each RV site has gravel, a picnic table, a fire pit, and a hammock
-Two cozy cabins available for short term rental
Our amazing spot in the Alaskan nature features:
-Towering birch trees
-A relaxing babbling creek – perfect for dipping your toes or collecting cool rocks
-Seasonal flora for admiring and foraging – fireweed, fiddlehead ferns, birch sap, and highbush cranberries
Willow is home to the official start of the Iditarod race, just a mile from the campground. We are situated just at the base of the Willow Fishhook – perfect for all your Hatcher Pass adventures! Popular hiking nearby includes the Butte, Mt. Baldy, Flathead Mountain, and Thunderbird Falls. Fishing is available nearby at Deception Creek, Willow Creek, and the Little Susitna River as well as Montana Creek a bit further north. Willow has two small convivence/grocery stores and a full-service gas station. We are just 35 minutes north of bustling Wasilla and 35 minutes south of trendy Talkeetna or take Willow Fishhook for a scenic and adventurous 45-minute trip to Palmer.
