Colorado-Based, Community-Focused Watershed Science Partners
Offering end-to-end solutions from plan development to on-ground implementation, we empower data-driven watershed decisions through comprehensive monitoring of water quality and ecological parameters.
Transforming raw data into actionable insights through advanced analysis, visualizations, and user-friendly public dashboards, we help make complex information accessible.
Integrating community engagement into watershed monitoring strategies, we help facilitate local involvement and environmental stewardship through outreach and citizen science.
Creek Collaborative, founded by environmental engineers Lauren Magliozzi and Camryn Miller, emerged from their collaborative research at the University of Colorado Boulder. While monitoring the Marshall Fire's impact on Coal Creek using chemical, biological, and spatial parameters, they developed a passion for whole-watershed health, particularly in Colorado's small urban creeks and streams. Recognizing a critical gap in long-term monitoring of small urban watersheds, Magliozzi and Miller established Creek Collaborative LLC in 2024. Our mission is to enable environmental justice by empowering local watershed groups and communities through providing affordable solutions for collecting, interpreting, and sharing high quality watershed-scale data. Using a community-engaged approach, Creek Collaborative aims to enhance long-term monitoring of Colorado's streams, ultimately contributing to their health and preservation.
Lauren Magliozzi, PhD (she/her)
Dr. Lauren Magliozzi, who earned her PhD from CU Boulder in 2024, specializes in watershed disturbance ecology and chemistry. She is skilled in correlating water quality parameters with ecological factors and disturbance sources, leveraging advanced data analysis and interpretation skills. Lauren's enduring fascination with the intricate connections within aquatic ecosystems drives her innovative approach to environmental research.
Camryn Miller, B.S. (they/them)
Camryn Miller, a master's candidate at CU Boulder, is an emerging specialist in aquatic ecology. They hold a Society for Freshwater Science Taxonomic Certification for North American Aquatic Insects at the family level and excel in benthic macroinvertebrate sampling, identification, and ecological interpretation, providing valuable insights into stream health and ecosystem dynamics. With a particular fondness for mayflies, Camryn brings both scientific rigor and genuine passion to their work in freshwater ecosystems
